Plastics
#1 PET/PETE
- Soda bottles
- Water bottles
- Fruit Juice and other drink bottles
- Peanut butter, mayo jars
- Cooking Oil bottles
#2 HDPE
- Milk Jugs
- Shampoo/conditioner bottles
- Detergent bottles
- Cleaning product bottles/jugs
- Plastic baskets/laundry basket(also could be #5)
- Plastic buckets
- Water jugs for water coolers(they also could be a #7)
#3 PVC (polyvinyl)
Difficult to recycle only these items accepted in bins
- Food packaging trays
- Cling wrap
NO PVC pipes, vinyl, kids’ toys, furniture etc….
#4 LDPE
(NO grocery bags in bins due to the handles get wrapped around the gears of the machine at the MRF)
We recycle plastic bags at Recycling Center ONLY!!!
- Newspaper bags
- Bread bags
- Fresh produce bags
- Ziploc bags
- Plastic film
- Shipping envelops
- Dry cleaner bags
- Plastic Bottle lids
#5 PP
- Yogurt containers
- Sour cream containers
- Margarine/butter containers
- Plastic Straws
- Ice cream tubs
- Medicine bottles
- Plant/flower trays
- Plastic baskets/laundry basket(also could be a #2)
#6 PS
- Single use coffee cups
- Plastic Silverware/utensils
- Take out food containers
#7 Other
Not all #7 are recyclable. We only accept these #7 in our bins
- Restaurant takeout plastic containers
- Plastic hanger
- Water jugs for water coolers they also could be a #2
NO vinyl, resin, shower curtains, plastic furniture, toys or car parts
